It is the brain dead parents that cause the safety issue with the children coming and going from the school. Absolutely ridiculous parking not leaving enough room for cars to safely pass, double parking, blocking driveway’s, mounting curbs and blocking paths. Speed humps will not stop this. Maybe the speed will be reduced but leaving the main cause of the problem still there.

The main danger to the school children is the parents themselves, who park irresponsibly at school opening and closing times. There are too many speed bumps in the proposal. They would be beneficial just after school entrance and after the entrance leading to the rear of Acacia/Mountbatten Avenue when travelling up Mountbatten Avenue. Or better still, close Mountbatten Avenue part way up as suggested by another resident so it is no longer used as a race track by speeding drivers.

Traffic is already slowed at school times due to multiple cars parked to pick up. Speed bumps will render the road almost impassible at these times. I use Mountbatten avenue frequently & haven’t observed any excessive speeds

This is not before time. Some cars are still travelling on Mountbatten Avenue at what appears to be in excess of 40mph despite the current speed restrictions. It should have been done years ago.

What a waste of money. There are very few, if any collisions or accidents on Mountbatten. All this will do is inconvenience residents who have to use the road every day.
